I am a biological oceanographer at the Greenland Climate Research Centre at the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk. My research interests include Arctic pelagic ecology, larval fish ecology, zooplankton ecology, and polar cod, a key species in Arctic marine ecosystems. I believe Arctic science is better served by interdisciplinarity, combining several approaches and knowledge systems such as Indigenous and local knowledge, natural sciences, social sciences, and community-based research, to answer complex questions, better predict the response of ecosystems to climate change, and support science-based decision-making for sustainable and equitable development of the Circumpolar North.
